Welcome to the Mid Nithsdale red squirrel network.

We are working in partnership with SSRS, developing our local volunteer network to support red squirrel conservation in this area.

Mid Nithsdale is situated in a PARC (Priority Area for Red Squirrel Conservation, as identified by SSRS)

Our priority is to promote the preservation of our beautiful native red squirrel.

We are delighted that there have been several sightings of red squirrels recorded and we urge you to record sightings via the SSRS website.  We continue to work towards improving Red Squirrel Populations in Mid Nithsdale.
