Squirrel Spotting and Woodland Management with Aberdeen City Council

We’re teaming up with Aberdeen City Council’s Countryside Rangers for a day of Silent Squirrel Spotting Safari and woodland management!
Join us for a a guided walk of Hazlehead Woods to search for the signs of the red squirrel population, with the option to stay on for woodland management, removing invasive Sitka spruce saplings. This work will benefit the native red squirrel population by encouraging regeneration of the squirrel’s favourite food – Scots pine trees.
The event is free but please book a ticket so we know you’re coming. Attendees coming to both the walk and the woodland management section will be offered a free breakfast after the walk.
